Hey there, eJOY users!

We are telling you that eJOY eXtension is coming with a big update. Yes, you heard that right!

Our JOY eXtension has long been, luckily, one of the most popular tools for learning English with videos on Chrome store. It allows you to look up and save words instantly and directly on the video subtitles, its dictionary and translation combination gives you both a thorough and quick understanding of any word or phrase, and its video features make Netflix a hugely enjoyable learning site!

The new eJOY extension has been greatly updated to make the video learning experiences available on NEARLY ALL video-based websites. From now, you can look up the video subtitles on any website that you want, and watch videos with dual subtitles, use Auto-translate on other platforms instead of being Netflix-exclusive like before.

To make it clear to you, we have 2 levels of video learning support:

1 – Full video support: almost all video features (like Auto-pause, Rewind, etc) like those on Netflix will be applied to other popular streaming websites including Youtube, Amazon Prime, Coursera, Udemy, and Ted talk.

2 – Subtitles lookup support: the lookup feature works on nearly all websites, even websites that are not mentioned above.

Full supported features

Below is a list of features that work well on the most popular video-based websites.

Watch videos with dual subtitles

Watching movies with dual subtitles will not only remove the burden of having to switch between subtitles to understand the context but also be good for you if you’re not ready to watch with only English subtitles on. From now on, you can watch movies and videos with dual subtitles on many popular video-streaming platforms including YouTube, Amazon Prime, Coursera, Udemy, and Ted talk. Before, this feature was only available for Netflix.

Dual subtitles now available for YouTube, Netflix, Coursera, Khan Academy, Prime,…

Auto Translate subtitle for most popular video-streaming platforms

Can’t watch with dual subtitles as the video doesn’t have the subtitles in your native language? Don’t want to click a new word every 2 seconds to see what it means? With eJOY, you can now turn on Auto Translate to display automatic Google translation below the subtitles and quickly grasp the idea of the video without a problem.

Hover over subtitles for quick meaning

Hover over any word on the subtitles for quick meaning without having to click it. You can also set eJOY to pronounce the word immediately when you hover over it. This works on nearly all video platforms.

Rewind or change playback speed

With the latest update, you can rewind, change playback speed, or push the subtitles to play a few seconds earlier or later. These features will widen your options when it comes to full control of videos.

Print subtitles out

With the latest update, video subtitles will be printable. You can always make a physical copy of any subtitles to come back to them later.

Bookmark your favorite subtitles

eJOY now allows you to save your favorite subtitles to review later. Just click the Bookmark icon next to a subtitle to bookmark it and quickly access those subtitles when needed.

Integrate eJOY’s video features on any video sites you want

You can now integrate eJOY’s unique video features to use them on any video sites you like. If your video website is not mentioned here, in this article, you can follow the detailed instructions from our Help Center to integrate eJOY into that web.
