Good afternoon. You've called your local city council.
How can I help you?
Hi.
I've just got some questions about rubbish removal.
Have I called the right number?
I guess I can definitely help you with that.
What would you like to know?
So I've just recently moved to the area, and I've got three bins in front of me.
Could you just explain to me what they're for?
Of course, I can.
They're called Really Bins.
The colors are used for different types of rubbish, depending on your state and your local council area.
So you'll have one bin that's for general rubbish, one that's for recycling, and the last one is for garden waste.
Okay, so how do I know which one is for which?
Well, we've got all the information on our website.
I can send you through the details if you like.
Also, just on collection, how do I know when these bins will be collected?
So your general rubbish bin will be collected once a week by the local council.
And your recycling and garden waste bins will be collected once a fortnight.
So it sounds like I've just got to keep an eye on my neighbors and copy when they put their bins out?
Yes, you could do that,or you could head to our website if you'd like to find out your actual collection date.
We've got a tab there called Waste Management.
So if you click on that, you'll see a calendar there.
Oh, actually, I've got a question around tips and skips.
Could you just explain the difference between the two, please?
So a rubbish tip is the place where you can take your rubbish.
It's not allowed in your normal bins,
and there's usually a small charge,
whereas a rubbish skip is a big container.
When you have a lot of rubbish to throw out,
you can fill it up,
and then that whole thing is taken to the local rubbish tip.
Okay, so what if I want to get rid of, let's say, an old mattress or an old fridge?
What do I do then?
Okay, well, that falls under hard rubbish, and you'd have to make a booking on our website for that one.
Okay, perfect.
Well, thanks for your help.
Okay, fantastic.
Thanks very much.
Bye.
Bye.
