And while Ho Chi Minh City looks ahead with this ambitious urban plans, other parts of Vietnam are still reeling from nature's impact.

Typhoon Bualoi has left communities struggling to recover,

and a recent viral video shows foreigners pitching into help with the cleanup.

The group, consisting of around 30 to 40 visitors, was forced to stay in their homestays due to flooding,

and as soon as the water receded, they took turns assisting local residents with clean up efforts throughout the day.

The scene has been praised as a touching example of solidarity and share humanity in times of natural disaster.
