In Tuyen Quang province continues heavy rains from the recent storm had triggered high landslides risk across mountainous areas, directly threatening lives and property.
In response, local armed forces have been swiftly deployed to assist residents in moving their homes and belongings to safer locations.
At Nabao hamlet in Ngoc Duong commune, one of the highest risk areas,
dozens of officers and soldiers from Judgement 877 of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Command worked alongside local authorities early this morning to help families dismantle and relegate their houses to safety.
We're deeply grateful to the local forces for coming to help move our timber and belongings to a safer place before the floods reach us.
Over the past few days, local authorities and on-site task forces in Ngoc Duong Commune have conducted continuous patrols, monitored hike risk areas and urged residents in danger zones to evacuate.
Each officer and soldier remains fully committed and determined to ensure the safety of local people in the coming days.
Given the storm's impact, we've directed all village heads to advise residents to inspect their surroundings for cracks or signs of landslides and evacuate promptly if necessary.
According to provincial authorities, the historic floods have damaged more than 22600 homes in Tuyen Quang with 42 houses completely destroyed or swept away.
