9 Morning Routines to Make Your Life Better

Just because you’re not a morning person doesn’t mean you can’t create a morning routine that would make early birds sing with joy. Check out some of the simplest morning routines to start your day feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way.

1. Wake up early

This doesn’t only give you more time to get things done, but the peaceful, serene and soothing morning environment improves your mood ten times. Also, instead of feeling lazy, lethargic, and cranky you’ll be full of energy & enthusiasm to conquer the day.

2. Exercise

Exercise is one of the best ways to help you stay fit, lose weight or increase durability. Other than that, it also plays an important part in improving your productivity. Many studies have suggested that regular exercises help boost our thinking and memory skills. Exercise releases healthy endorphins that energize us. We tend to feel better, have more energy and are ready to tackle our daily tasks after we exercise.

3. Write gratitude journal

Take a few moment to write down three new things you are grateful for. You can keep them in your gratitude journal to look back whenever you want. Expressing gratitude can help you feel happier, healthier and more positive, as well as more capable of tackling obstacles and stressful situations.

4. Read

It’s said that reading in the morning can keep you focused, motivated and creative. It is because in the morning our mind is at the most uncluttered moment. Put tough books aside, just read something inspiring, or something that can help you ease into the whole day.

Do you have any of the above as your morning routines? Or you may find some quite hard to follow through, don’t you? If yes, just forget them all. Let’s move on next. Those are much easier.

5. Eat healthy breakfast

Healthy eating means consuming a variety of foods (preferably raw) from all food groups with sufficient quantities of nutrients to maintain your health and produce energy. These nutrients should include protein, carbohydrates, fats, water, vitamins, and minerals. Spending some minutes cooking your own healthy breakfast will make your life way better. Healthy breakfast will not only bring benefits to our physical health but also help us stay energized throughout the day.

6. Drink water

Numerous studies have shown that there is a direct link between drinking enough water and brain performance. Over 70% of your body consists of water. And brain activity highly depends on the “water supply”. Drinking enough water will help you to avoid such issues as fatigue, attention disorder and exhaustion that can be caused by dehydration.

Drinking a big glass of water in the morning ensures that your body stays hydrated and your mind stays sharp for whatever’s ahead. And, to help you stay hydrated all day, there is a way to figure out the exact amount of water you should drink every day.

7. Listen to music

Regardless of whether you end up at a downtown office or sitting behind your in-home office desk, the morning is where you find the energy you need to power through the day.  Choose a song that brings out the emotions you want to take all day long—like peace, happiness, or empowerment. You can listen to the song with your eyes closed and really concentrate on the feelings the music creates. Otherwise, dancing with your soul is also a good choice.

8. Meditation

Taking even just a few moments to notice your breath and be present can improve your mental health and improve your productivity. Invest some time in meditation to be active and productive; it will be well worth it.

So now if you still find some reasons to procrastinate all those routines, I’m pretty sure that you will never say No to the below morning routine.

9. Smile
