I joined Liverpool in 2018,
so I'm midway through my third season with the club.
I'd describe myself as a tough-tackling defender.
Always want to get stuck in.
I joined Liverpool last September.
I like to get up and down the line and I like to attack and defend
and I think I can use both feet so a bit of variety as well.
So I joined Liverpool when I was 15 years old.
So I've been here about 10 years now.
I'm quite a relaxed person, I like to just bring good vibes,
just bring that positivity
so I just make sure that I'm relaxed, I'm calm, and I'm ready
to go into the game just focused.
When I was playing in a boys' team, I'd say
the thing that inspired me the most and gave me the most confidence
was beating the boys, basically, because you go into the game
and so you've got the comments, "They've got a girl in the team."
That definitely spurred me on, that gave me confidence.
I think for me, just taking everything in
as I can in training and in games and reflecting on my performances.
You can only work on yourself to become a better player.
When I play my best games is when I've got a clear head.
I'm confident, I'm up for it,
making sure that you're in the right head space and your head's in it.
I think confidence means when you know you're playing to your best
and you feel like you can express yourself on the football pitch.
When you're feeling confident, you're happy all the time.
You're smiley, you're bubbly, that transfers onto the pitch.
I think spirit for me is really big.
It helps me get up in the morning,
knowing that I'm coming in to a great bunch of girls.
I'd say the main focus within the group at the moment
is obviously to win the championship and get promoted
back to the Super League.
I'd love to achieve that, but also then hopefully be able to build
and go on in a few years to be good enough
to win the Women's Super League as well.
I feel like our standards are really high for training.
We're always demanding things off of each other
and if something's not quite right, most people are happy to help one another.
I have full trust in everybody in this team, staff, players.
and the medical group.
Because I have that trust in them, I know that they give me the confidence
to be able to perform to my best.
My advice for young players that are trying to get into the game
would be firstly, just to go and do it, enjoy it, and work hard
and believe in yourself.
You need to have that confidence, have that belief.
Obviously, there's a lot of highs and lows in football,
even with your own self-confidence, but I feel like if you stick at something,
you can build your own self-confidence.
If you go through them highs and lows,
then you're always going to come out in a better place than what you was.
So just stick at it.
