The bee population in fire-affected areas across Victoria has taken a huge hit. Hundreds of hives have been wiped out in the blazes and the forests they live in could take more than a decade to regenerate. Now, as state political reporter Bridget Rollason reports, the Government has launched a new surveillance program to help track the health of bees.
